⁣Duet by Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias. Not sure I did either of them any justice but definitely a little more Willie Nelson and certainly nowhere close to Julio. Don't forget to get your Buzz points for a thumbs up like and subscribe.

Noticed that oldmanchu hasn't been singing much? Find out why by listening to this parody of this song by the Romantics. The actual song was released in 1979 and was a moderate success. It wasn't until the late 80's when the song was licensed for use in TV commercials for ads like Budweiser beer that it became one of the most popular song anthems of all time. It reached #49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was in the top 10 charts in many different countries. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. Not an easy song to sing but love the classic rock music so I sang it anyway. I believe @Tappet2 was the first to sing it on Bee Mee.There are several versions of this song, going as far back as 1933 (maybe earlier) when it was used as a work song but it is most associated with Ram Jam. Released by them in 1979, it was a hit in several countries and used in many movie and TV shows including "Family Guy". Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. Alrighty then...this was tough and I seem to be having trouble adjusting my volumes so please let me know (be honest). Would rather re-do it now & not later. Released in 2003, it was the 8th #1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart for the Chilli Peppers and stayed there for 3 weeks. It also ranked #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and did well on other charts around the world. Hard/Rock, Glam Metal band Poison released this song in 1988. It reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #19 on the Mainstream rock charts. It is regarded as one of Poison's best songs and in 2017 Billboard ranked the song #9 and OC Weekly at #4. Steve Huey of Altmusic stated that this was Poison's most recognized song and solidified them as hair metal's top party band. Released in 1990 by Glam Metal Band, Warrant, this song was #10 on the Billboard 100 chart and #19 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. This song was inspired by Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me". The band was not happy that this song was such a hit as it overshadowed most of their other songs which were better in their view partly because of it's heavy airplay on MTV. It was ranked #3 by the "Classic Rock" publication as #3 on their list of the Top 10 "Best Hair Metal Videos". 😎

This song was a cover of the original by Tommy James and The Shondells. Billy Idol released it in 1981 and it became an international hit. He released a live version in 1987 and it became an even bigger hit than the Shondells original (which was a huge hit). It took the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted all over the world. An early Tim McGraw song and still one of my favorites. Released in 1994, it was his breakthrough song and first top 40. It peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Platinum. Some critics have considered it a controversial song due to it's stereotypical portrayal of Native Americans and some radio stations refused to play it. I just really like the song. A dance remix of the single was released in 2010. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points & feel free to share any of my videos. Let's get more people having fun on Bee Mee. 😎

I'm first to admit, I fumbled through the verse lyrics :) But this is one of those classic chorus' that is so fun to sing along with. I think there is an SNL skit where they are all sitting in a bar rambling on about something, but they all stop and sing each chorus together every time it comes on. Classic!

If you like pure Classic Rock then this band's signature song is for you. No keyboards, backgound vocals, electronic wizardy, just pure head banging rock & roll. Released in 1986, this song peaked at #10 on The Billboard Hot 100 and #4 for Mainstream Rock and is in the VH1's Greastest One Hit Wonders for the 80's. It was also used in a lot of movies & TV shows. Feel free to share this or any of my videos and let's grow the Bee Mee community. Lots of cool info about this song so keep reading. Guitarist, Canadian artist, Tom Cochrane, wrote the song over concern for the resurgence of anti-semitism in the 1970's. He recorded the first demo on the evening of John Lennon's murder (RIP). The single was released in 1981 despite advice from the record label that it wasn't commercial enough. It reached #11 on the rock radio airplay chart in Billboard and won a SOCAN Classic Award (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) in 2009. It was re-recorded in 1997 and was #1 for 4 weeks on the RPM Top 100 Chart. The song has been used in several movies and TV shows such as Miami Vice. There is so much more that I could write but check it out on Wikipedia if you want more info. Make sure you like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. This song seems to suit the current state the world is in now as it's about celebrity on a political level. It was released in 1988 and regularly makes "100 Greatest Songs Ever Written" lists. The group won Grammy Awards for Best Hard Rock song and the MTV Video won awards for Best Group & Best New Artist. The band is also unique in that all of its members were black in a Hard Rock genre that was dominated by white musicians. The song was a huge success and the story behind it is fascinating so check it out for yourself. News broke this morning of the passing of a young member of our community. I knew him well and it has stirred up many emotions for me. I dedicate this somg to him, to another old friend Dave D. and to my father. Folks always remember to say "I love you" as often as possible. You just never know when the last time you say it might be the last time you were able to.
