Just heard the sad news that the world has lost country legend, Toby Keith, to stomach cancer at the age of 62. As a cancer survivor myself and a Toby Keith fan I wanted to do this song in his memory. He will be missed and will forever be immortal through the great music he has left the world. This song was released in 2001 and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart and held it for 5 weeks. It also peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100. Thank you Mr. Toby Keith for the music you have blessed us with and RIP. 😎

Since today is Sunday thought I would do another Creed Song released in 2001. It hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was #1 on the Mainstream Rock Charts for nine weeks. It was a top 20 hit worldwide and was nominated for a grammy. First, Happy Birthday to Harry Styles and second a big shout out to Cara for creating that music schedule for this month. Here is another fun Classic Rock-Folk song by Jim Croce (RIP) so take a trip back to 8-track days and sing along. SmokyTavern gets credit for being the first to sing this song on Bee Mee. This is one of my all time favorite songs. Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down released in 2000 was #1 on Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for 9 weeks then also reached #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart for 11 weeks. It also was #1 on the Mainstream Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 for 5 consecutive weeks and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. I guess it wasn't just one of my favorite songs 😆. I found this song by American Rock Band, Train, tough to sing. It is a great song though and liked it the first time I heard it when released in 2001. Reached top 5 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart (really....go figure lol). Guess which category it goes in lol? It was certiefied 3X Platinum and won a Grammy for Best Rock Song. So, we were challenged to have a little contest to sing Proud Mary before Thursday's AMA. We had a choice of doing the CCR or Ike & Tina Turner version. Well, for me, I considered a third version......the Skee Version. Did this for fun so have fun as I could only do one take and destroyed my vocal chords so no re-do's.
