This song was a cover of the original by Tommy James and The Shondells. Billy Idol released it in 1981 and it became an international hit. He released a live version in 1987 and it became an even bigger hit than the Shondells original (which was a huge hit). It took the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted all over the world.
