Heard the Nickelback cover during one of the playoff hockey games and was glad it was in the song library. So this is an Elton John/Nickelback hybrid lol. Elton John released this song in 1973 & Nickelback released their cover (with Dimebag Darell & Kidd Rock) in 2003. Elton Jon & Nickelback have both had unbelievable careers so check them out if you want more info. The song just abruptly ends for some reason. I listened to a lot of Counting Crows growing up. Great band! Didn't know this one as well as I thought, so it got a bit away from me at the end. But it's a fun song for sure!
This song was released in 1987 for the movie soundtrack for "Beverly Hills Cop II" starring Eddie Murphy. It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Album Rock Tracks chart and the RPM 100 Singles chart. I knew ahead of time this was a long song but forgot that it is almost constant singing. Every time I thought there might be a short break to switch up the dance steps....nope and panicked to get back to the lyrics 😎. I could have maybe done Madonna's version which is about half as long but.......no way Jose!
I have no business even attempting this song. I can practice as much as I want and still wouldn't get some verses but come on...Adam Levine sings this😃 I have always liked this song so had to do it. You should give a thumbs up and subscribe to represent an "A" for effort. Nah.....do it for the buzz points. 😎
