This song seems to suit the current state the world is in now as it's about celebrity on a political level. It was released in 1988 and regularly makes "100 Greatest Songs Ever Written" lists. The group won Grammy Awards for Best Hard Rock song and the MTV Video won awards for Best Group & Best New Artist. The band is also unique in that all of its members were black in a Hard Rock genre that was dominated by white musicians. I knew ahead of time this was a long song but forgot that it is almost constant singing. Every time I thought there might be a short break to switch up the dance steps....nope and panicked to get back to the lyrics 😎. I could have maybe done Madonna's version which is about half as long but.......no way Jose!

A good ol country tune from the band - Alabama. I think this was one of the tracks on a Alabama - Greatest Hits album my family had when I was growing up. It got lots of spins!

I really liked the Beach Boys when I was younger (long before this song) and would ride my bike to the Library where you could get headsets and they would play whatever record you wanted to listen to. I eventually also really liked windsurfing and would go whenever I could. This song came out in 1988, ⁣24 years after their first No. 1. The Beach Boys scored, what is to date, their last U.S. No. 1. Not sure why I try these songs with vocal skills but hey, it's all about the fun right? I do like Maroon 5's music. This song was released in 2004 on their debut album based on Adam Levine's break-up with an ex-girlfriend. It was in the top 10 on several charts and was #1 on many of Bilboard's charts. I found the karaoke version of this song harder than the original. Nickelback is from a small town near me so I had to try a song by them. They're one of the most successful Canadian bands selling over 50 million worldwide with their album "Silver Side Up" (8X platinum). Billboard ranked them the most successful rock group of 2009 and #7 of the decade.They are in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
