This is Waylon Jennings version of a pretty Kris Kristofferson tune.

"Ships" was sung by Barry Manilow & written by Ian Hunter.
Hunter & his father often butted heads while he was growing up & it wasn't until he was older that he started to see things from his dad's perspective. So "Ships" was a coming to terms with, & an appreciation of Ian's dad, Walter Patterson. Ian's father died 18 months after the song was released & he said goodbye on Blackpool beach where they had watched "the dogs play around on the sand" (in earlier years).

So here is the second option for the current contest. Let's get more people participating. If I can do it....so can you!. I should have sung this song before "Hey Jude" as it is a lot easier on the vocal chords ha ha ha. Listen to the ending of "Hey Jude" and you will know what I mean. Released by American Glam Metal band, Great White in 1987, this song was a big success and was certified Platinum. It was a cover of a 1975 song by Ian Hunter in which Guns N' Roses', Izzy Stradlin, had the idea for them to do the cover. While playing at The Station Nightclub in Rhode Island things turned tragic when their pyrotechnics started a fire and sadly 100 people were killed, including guitarist, Ty Longley. Their tour manager ended up doing jail time. In the aftermath, The Band tried doing benefit concerts which just made things worse as survivors & families asked the band not to mention it as it opened old wounds when they did. A sad ending for a great band. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz points and feel free to share any of my videos and help spread the word how fun the Bee Mee platform is.

Here's Deefamily once again with another karaoke cover. This time I challenged myself to Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back To Me Now. This song is definitely not an easy song to deal with you. It might not be perfect but I am glad I can still hear my voice quite clearly but kind of soft despite the loud instrumental music. Hope all of you will like my rendition of the song 😊

I have no business even attempting this song. I can practice as much as I want and still wouldn't get some verses but come on...Adam Levine sings thisπŸ˜ƒ I have always liked this song so had to do it. You should give a thumbs up and subscribe to represent an "A" for effort. Nah.....do it for the buzz points. 😎

Thought I would step out of the eighties for awhile and go all the way to 2000. "All the Small Things" was Blink 182's ⁣biggest mainstream hit, peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Most people⁣ think Blink-182 is one of the best, if not the best, pop-punk band ever. Oh by the way....today is my birthday so I would like a "like" and subscribe please. 😎

This song was recorded in 1976 by the Moments as WE DON"T CRY OUT LOUD under the stewardship of the great Sylvia Robinson. Melissa Manchester imagined doing this song in a similarly sleepy style and was "surprised by the bombastic arrangement " awaiting her in the studio.
I added the the tats with "CryBaby" to my avatar for posterity!πŸ˜‚

Electronic, Eurodance Group, Rage, released this Dance/House cover of Bryan Adam's song "Run to You" in 1992. It reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart. They also did a Dance remake of "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals. Free released this song in 1970 and it peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was a #1 hit in over 20 countries, was recognized by the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers in 1990 and in 2006 by the BMI London awards for 3 million air plays. The song still remains a staple track of classic rock. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points and feel free to share this or any of my videos. Let's get more people having fun on Bee Mee. 😎

A cool song from the country band Sawyer Brown that really makes you feel something. Unfortunately I tried this one a couple times and the audio track cuts off at this spot every time.

Had no idea Joan Jett did a cover of this AC/DC song or how high her songs rank in the classic rock charts. This song has been covered by many groups and Joan Jett released her version in 1990. It was released as a single and charted internationally. It reached #36 on the Billboard Hot 100, #23 on the Mainstream Rock chart and #42 on the Cash Box Top 100. A classic song, originally from Fleetwood Mac, and ultimately covered by Dixie Chicks and Smashing Pumpkins. I found this Dixie Chicks version on BeeMee and wanted to give it a shot. Really cool harmonies in this one!

I think this may be one of the first couple Dierks Bentley songs I heard in the early days. I've seen him in concert a couple times, and he and his band put on a great live show.

I'm a huge fan of Otis Redding, and for me it doesn't get much better than his voice. He was one of those artists gone way too soon. I feel like we'd know 30+ more hits from him, if he'd just had more time.

One of the all time great tunes from Elton John. Definitely outside of my typical vocal range, but it was fun giving it a shot! There's not much better than the scene from the movie "Almost Famous" where the band, along with Penny Lane and the kid journalist, sing this tune on the bus! Good times!

Ha ha Ha too funny. I had never heard this version and if you haven't then check it out on YouTube. It's easy to forget how talented Michael Jackson was at a young age but man, did that kid have some pipes. I wouldn't dare try to imitate him but had to do this version. ⁣It was released on October 15, 1970. The album was recorded when child prodigy Michael Jackson was on the cusp of his 12th birthday.
