Requested by Sonny Walkman. Twisted Sister released this song in 1984 and I would guess that most people have sang along to this song. Shockingly, even my mother liked Twisted Sister. The song reached #21 on the Billboard Hot 100, was certified Gold in 2009, ranked 47th on the 100 Greatest Singles of the 80's, #21 on VH1's Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80's and was the band's biggest hit & only top 40 single. I used to listen to this song on Yacht Rock radio.
"Sailing" is a 1979 soft rock song written and recorded by American artist Christopher Cross.
Cross has said in interviews that the song's inspiration was his friendship with an older friend from his high school, Al Glasscock, who would take him sailing as a teenager, just to get away from the trials and tribulations of being a teenager.
Glasscock functioned as a surrogate older brother during a tough time for Cross emotionally. Although Cross lost touch with Glasscock, The Howard Stern Show in April 1995 reunited the two after 28 years. Cross acknowledged on the show that his sailing trips with Glasscock had been the inspiration for the song. After that reunion, Cross sent Glasscock a copy of the platinum record he earned for selling more than five million copies of "Sailing."

@SmokyTavern sang this first on Bee Mee and it's one of my favorite songs by Kenny Rogers. Released in 1979 it was #1 on the Billboard Country chart, #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 (making it a huge crossover success), #1 on Cashbox singles chart and in top 10 charts in countries around the world. It also inspired a 1981 movie of the same name. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points & feel free to share any of my videos and let's spread the word about Bee Mee. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Alrighty then...this was tough and I seem to be having trouble adjusting my volumes so please let me know (be honest). Would rather re-do it now & not later. Released in 2003, it was the 8th #1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart for the Chilli Peppers and stayed there for 3 weeks. It also ranked #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and did well on other charts around the world. โฃ"Rhiannon" (released as a single under the title "Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)") is a song written by Stevie Nicks and originally recorded by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac on their eponymous album in 1975. When Nicks performed the song live, she often introduced it by saying "This is a song about an old Welsh witch."[6] During 1975โ€“1982, Fleetwood Mac's live performances of "Rhiannon" took on a theatrical intensity not present on the FM-radio single. This song was a cover of the original by Tommy James and The Shondells. Billy Idol released it in 1981 and it became an international hit. He released a live version in 1987 and it became an even bigger hit than the Shondells original (which was a huge hit). It took the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted all over the world. This is one of those classic country songs from Kenny Rogers. It's got a great groove, but I'm not sure it's a song that would be put out these days. But in the late 70's, it had a vibe.
