It is stated as a Ballad, Traditional Pop, Soft Rock, blend of country/soul/folk/jazz with a R&B hook and it's also a Classic. It has made so many charts and is in multiple halls of fame and greatest of all time lists it blows my mind. It reached #30 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2001 VH1 ranked this song the 32nd best hard rock song of all time. An absolute classic from Garth Brooks. I think this may have been the very first song I ever got up and sang on stage. In the early days it took some convincing, but my friends eventually got me up there!

This is one of those heartfelt songs about life in the Military and getting Letters from home. It pretty much brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it, and it's even more challenging to sing it all the way through. Hope you enjoy it, if you've never heard this song before.

Don't believe I've heard this song but found it kind of hypnotizing so had to try it. Duran Duran released this song in 1993 from their seventh album, showcasing their entry into the adult contemporary radio format.
