⁣John Lennon himself believed that Hey Jude was directed at him, seeing it as a message from McCartney to embrace his relationship with Yoko Ono. Lennon even pointed to specific lines in the song, such as “You were made to go out and get her,” as evidence of McCartney's support for his new love interest.
This was my father's favorite song. It was always crystal clear he was singing it with my mother in mind. Miss you daddy...😌

This song was recorded in 1976 by the Moments as WE DON"T CRY OUT LOUD under the stewardship of the great Sylvia Robinson. Melissa Manchester imagined doing this song in a similarly sleepy style and was "surprised by the bombastic arrangement " awaiting her in the studio.
I added the the tats with "CryBaby" to my avatar for posterity!😂

This song was released in 1985 as a synth-pop, new wave song that details the desire humans have for control & power and centre on themes of corruption. Hmmm, sound like the news and social media today? It was an international success & was #1 on several charts including the Billboard Hot 100. The song was certified gold and won several awards with several ranking the song among the decades best. ⁣When Denver was camping at Williams Lake near Aspen, far from any city lights, he saw the Perseid meteor shower. That inspired him to collaborate with guitarist Mike Taylor in 1972 to pen "Rocky Mountain High."
Despite the widespread interpretation of the lyric "Friends around the campfire and everybody's high" as a reference to drug use, Denver insisted that the song was actually about experiencing the euphoria of nature.
Despite the controversy, It's such a great song! If you feel so inclined, please like and subscribe!

Noticed that oldmanchu hasn't been singing much? Find out why by listening to this parody of this song by the Romantics. The actual song was released in 1979 and was a moderate success. It wasn't until the late 80's when the song was licensed for use in TV commercials for ads like Budweiser beer that it became one of the most popular song anthems of all time. It reached #49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was in the top 10 charts in many different countries. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. The lyric Stevie Nicks hates in Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Go Your Own Way’
Fleetwood Mac remain one of the most beloved bands of the classic rock era. The former couple of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham found that while any break-up is difficult, it’s even harder when you remain in a band with your former lover.

Both artists wrote about the end of the relationship from their perspectives with devastating veracity.
While Nicks was the band’s principle songwriter, Buckingham also threw in his own barbs every so often and Nicks was particularly hurt by his creation, ‘Go Your Own Way’.

Nicks wrote about the breakdown of the relationship in ‘Silver Springs’, which she later said was penned with the intention of haunting Buckingham.
Meanwhile, Buckingham penned ‘Go Your Own Way’, which greatly upset Nicks as it alluded to her promiscuousness. “I very much resented him telling the world that ‘packing up, shacking up’ with different men was all I wanted to do. He knew it wasn’t true. It was just an angry thing that he said,” she told Rolling Stone (via Society of Rock).
Stevie Nicks is my top Pandora station! I was dead center, 3rd row, for her performance in concert with Lindsay Buckingham and Christine Mcvie' in Portland, Oregon before Mcvie' passed away in 2022.

This was a request I got from Sonny Walkman. Not sure if he was trying to give me a hard song but little did he know that this might have been the first 45 rpm record I ever bought. Devo, a New Wave, Synth Pop band released this song in 1980. Warner Bros. did not expect this song to be a success but it became an international hit, charted in several countries & peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video was also a hit on MTV. I always liked this song by The Youngbloods, that was released in 1969. A great song with Peace and Happiness vibes :)

I've always loved this song by CCR. John Fogerty has such a unique voice and great range, so it took everything in my power to try to get close to some of his higher notes. Tricky one for sure, but this is a fun tune!

Stones Sour. The background vocals kept throwing me off. I got sick of trying so just put this one out. Great song but didn't get the performance it deserves!!
