When I was growing up I had a neighbor that was in the same grade as me and her father was a gigantic Elvis fan. Right after I graduated her brother was in an Elvis, Elvis, Elvis show which consisted of 3 singers all imitating Elvis at different stages in his life. Her bother was the young Elvis and I bought a ticket to go watch the performance. It was so much fun and all three of the performers did an awesome job impersonating Elvis both in sound and looks. Anyway, here is my entry for the Bee Mee competition which I only entered for the participation ribbon.....everyone wins!! 😎

The lyric Stevie Nicks hates in Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Go Your Own Way’
Fleetwood Mac remain one of the most beloved bands of the classic rock era. The former couple of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham found that while any break-up is difficult, it’s even harder when you remain in a band with your former lover.

Both artists wrote about the end of the relationship from their perspectives with devastating veracity.
While Nicks was the band’s principle songwriter, Buckingham also threw in his own barbs every so often and Nicks was particularly hurt by his creation, ‘Go Your Own Way’.

Nicks wrote about the breakdown of the relationship in ‘Silver Springs’, which she later said was penned with the intention of haunting Buckingham.
Meanwhile, Buckingham penned ‘Go Your Own Way’, which greatly upset Nicks as it alluded to her promiscuousness. “I very much resented him telling the world that ‘packing up, shacking up’ with different men was all I wanted to do. He knew it wasn’t true. It was just an angry thing that he said,” she told Rolling Stone (via Society of Rock).
Stevie Nicks is my top Pandora station! I was dead center, 3rd row, for her performance in concert with Lindsay Buckingham and Christine Mcvie' in Portland, Oregon before Mcvie' passed away in 2022.

"Make It with You" is a song written by David Gates and originally recorded by American pop-rock group Bread, of which Gates was a member. Gates and drummer Mike Botts are the only members of the group to appear on the recording,[3] which was Bread's only No.1 hit on the BillboardHot 100 chart in 1970.

⁣When Denver was camping at Williams Lake near Aspen, far from any city lights, he saw the Perseid meteor shower. That inspired him to collaborate with guitarist Mike Taylor in 1972 to pen "Rocky Mountain High."
Despite the widespread interpretation of the lyric "Friends around the campfire and everybody's high" as a reference to drug use, Denver insisted that the song was actually about experiencing the euphoria of nature.
Despite the controversy, It's such a great song! If you feel so inclined, please like and subscribe!

I have always been a fan of the English band, Def lepparrd. Too bad only their ballads are available right now so I guess we'll sing them. Released in 1995, this was one of Def Lapperd's most succesful singles and reached #2 on the UK Singles charts and #58 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also #6 pn the RPM 100. Feel free to share this or any of my videos and let's get more people on Bee Mee. As usual, kike, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. 😎

Hmm, the karoke version for heavy metal songs are a little "light" on the heavy on the feeling the power of the music so this is what we got. Song was released in 1986 and was a top 10 hit on mainstream radio and was his first single on the Billboard Hot 100 at #68. A hauntingly beautiful song from Counting Crows, from their album - August and Everything After. I grew up listening to a lot of their music.

I found the karaoke version of this song harder than the original. Nickelback is from a small town near me so I had to try a song by them. They're one of the most successful Canadian bands selling over 50 million worldwide with their album "Silver Side Up" (8X platinum). Billboard ranked them the most successful rock group of 2009 and #7 of the decade. They are in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. I watched Lifehouse in concert when they were opening for Matchbox 20 and immediately liked them. This song is the first single from their first album released in 2000. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it became an international success and was certified double platinum. Make sure you get your Buzz Points by liking, commenting and subscribing. So, on Cara's music calander, yesterday was National Guitar Day but due to the Super Bowl & other reasons I wasn't able to record any songs so will do today. Santana has always been revered for his guitar skills, however, karaoke versions usually shorten the original song mainly by eliminating long instrumentals so I suggest you listen to the full version. Classic tune from The Band. It's a long one. I forgot how many verses there are, and then realized there's a bunch of yodeling at the end of this one :) I gave it my best shot!

This song represents exactly what the 80's was like. Every school dance and every bar played this song. In addition to great 80's music there was always a fight or two at some point. However, there were no knives, no guns, no kicking a guy repeatedly when he was down or going and rounding up your buddies if you lost. If a guy said he gives, you stopped, helped him up and went and had a beer together. The song was released in 1981 by Rockabilly group, the Stray Cats. It peaked at #9 on the both the singles charts and the Billboard Hot 100. It was also listed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 songs that shaped Rock & Roll. Please don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to help your favorite starving karaoke stars lol. 😎

For a simple song I had a tough time adjusting things so that you could hear the background comments. I also have never had to adjust the sync this much so my apologies if the vocals are too loud. I guess in a 10,000 song library you are going to find a few that pose some challenges. This song, released in 1993, peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is also ranked as one of the top 500 pop songs of all time. No surprise that it was in the top 10 on charts all over the world. Definitely an emotional song for me as I thought of several lost friends while practicing it. The Fray released this song in 2006 and it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, the seventh longest charting single at 58 consecutive weeks. It was certified five times platinum and as of 2015 was the fourth best selling rock song in digital music history. It was also Grammy nominated for best Rock Song for a duo or group. This song is dedicated to all troubled friends past, present and future. Like, comment and subscribe. 😎

This "power ballad" was released by 3 Doors Down in 2003 and it reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was in the top ten charts all over the world and was certified double platinum in the USA for selling over 2 million copies. I just think it is a great song by a great band. This is the Bad Wolves version of Zombie. Originally done by The Cranberries. I got to see them sing this live in the front row in 2019. The first day this was released on ITunes it had over a million copies sold and all proceeds went to the 3 children of the late Dolores O' Riordan of The Cranberries.

SmokyTavern gets credit for being the first to sing this song on Bee Mee. This is one of my all time favorite songs. Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down released in 2000 was #1 on Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for 9 weeks then also reached #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart for 11 weeks. It also was #1 on the Mainstream Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 for 5 consecutive weeks and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. I guess it wasn't just one of my favorite songs 😆.
