My 1st Elvis. Possibly not last one 😁
Released by American Glam Metal band, Great White in 1987, this song was a big success and was certified Platinum. It was a cover of a 1975 song by Ian Hunter in which Guns N' Roses', Izzy Stradlin, had the idea for them to do the cover. While playing at The Station Nightclub in Rhode Island things turned tragic when their pyrotechnics started a fire and sadly 100 people were killed, including guitarist, Ty Longley. Their tour manager ended up doing jail time. In the aftermath, The Band tried doing benefit concerts which just made things worse as survivors & families asked the band not to mention it as it opened old wounds when they did. A sad ending for a great band. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz points and feel free to share any of my videos and help spread the word how fun the Bee Mee platform is.
I still don't have my voice back yet so had to play this one safe but that's probably a good thing 😂. I have always liked Cher and especially this song which was the lead single from her 1989 album, Heart of Stone. It was released in 1989 and peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Cher's first number one hit in Australia. It was also in the top ten charts in Belgium, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Netherlands and the UK. Don't forget to like, comment and subsribe...unless you don't want Buzz Points. 😎

Heard the Nickelback cover during one of the playoff hockey games and was glad it was in the song library. So this is an Elton John/Nickelback hybrid lol. Elton John released this song in 1973 & Nickelback released their cover (with Dimebag Darell & Kidd Rock) in 2003. Elton Jon & Nickelback have both had unbelievable careers so check them out if you want more info. The song just abruptly ends for some reason. Now the "Latin" category kind of makes sense. War is a Latin Rock crossover band that fuses funk, soul, rhythm & blues, rock, jazz and other genres while the influence of Latin music is evident in the percussive beats and the use of horns. Released in 1975 it reached #1 on The Billboard R&B Singles chart, #1 on the US Hot Soul Singles, #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, was inducted in to the Grammy Hall of Fame and was the theme song for the TV series "George Lopez". Nu metal band, Korn did a cover in 1996. I could go on but who would have guessed such a simple song would be such a massive hit. It was #3 On Mainstream Top 40, #1 on Adult Contemporary & Adult Top 40, #1 in 16 countries and on so many other charts, including the Hot Country Chart, that I don't have enough space to list them all. It was the top selling song on Itunes & 2nd best overall for sales in the US for 2010. It has also won a Grammy, was certified 6X Platinum and has appeared on so many talk shows & other tv shows, movies etc. it is mind boggling. Check them out on Wikipedia for yourself. If there is a single moment that is most widely known in the canon of Elton live performances, this may well be it! Elton appearing as Donald Duck during his Central Park performance on September 13th 1980 in New York. After struggling to get the Bob Mackie costume on backstage, Elton sits down on his piano bench for the first time in the outfit and lets out a laugh as he realizes the padding won't allow him to stay on the bench or easily work the foot pedals. LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Elton got hit in the face with an empty wine bottle, thrown by an enebriated fan. Later, he said, "It was my own fault really. Someone tried to warn me, but I ignored it: 'Duck!' they yelled" Ultimately, he continued performing like a champ and it didn't stop him from turning out a memorable rendition of "Your Song".

I used to listen to this song on Yacht Rock radio.
"Sailing" is a 1979 soft rock song written and recorded by American artist Christopher Cross.
Cross has said in interviews that the song's inspiration was his friendship with an older friend from his high school, Al Glasscock, who would take him sailing as a teenager, just to get away from the trials and tribulations of being a teenager.
Glasscock functioned as a surrogate older brother during a tough time for Cross emotionally. Although Cross lost touch with Glasscock, The Howard Stern Show in April 1995 reunited the two after 28 years. Cross acknowledged on the show that his sailing trips with Glasscock had been the inspiration for the song. After that reunion, Cross sent Glasscock a copy of the platinum record he earned for selling more than five million copies of "Sailing."

Joe Cocker is a one of kind! I don't think I've ever sang this song all the way through before in my life, so in this recording you're taking the journey with me :) There were some laughs, and many a flubbed note, but man...this one is a lot of fun!
SUNSHINE!
