This song represents exactly what the 80's was like. Every school dance and every bar played this song. In addition to great 80's music there was always a fight or two at some point. However, there were no knives, no guns, no kicking a guy repeatedly when he was down or going and rounding up your buddies if you lost. If a guy said he gives, you stopped, helped him up and went and had a beer together. The song was released in 1981 by Rockabilly group, the Stray Cats. It peaked at #9 on the both the singles charts and the Billboard Hot 100. It was also listed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 songs that shaped Rock & Roll. Please don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to help your favorite starving karaoke stars lol. 😎

Joe Cocker is a one of kind! I don't think I've ever sang this song all the way through before in my life, so in this recording you're taking the journey with me :) There were some laughs, and many a flubbed note, but man...this one is a lot of fun!

I used to listen to this song on Yacht Rock radio.
"Sailing" is a 1979 soft rock song written and recorded by American artist Christopher Cross.
Cross has said in interviews that the song's inspiration was his friendship with an older friend from his high school, Al Glasscock, who would take him sailing as a teenager, just to get away from the trials and tribulations of being a teenager.
Glasscock functioned as a surrogate older brother during a tough time for Cross emotionally. Although Cross lost touch with Glasscock, The Howard Stern Show in April 1995 reunited the two after 28 years. Cross acknowledged on the show that his sailing trips with Glasscock had been the inspiration for the song. After that reunion, Cross sent Glasscock a copy of the platinum record he earned for selling more than five million copies of "Sailing."

If there is a single moment that is most widely known in the canon of Elton live performances, this may well be it! Elton appearing as Donald Duck during his Central Park performance on September 13th 1980 in New York. After struggling to get the Bob Mackie costume on backstage, Elton sits down on his piano bench for the first time in the outfit and lets out a laugh as he realizes the padding won't allow him to stay on the bench or easily work the foot pedals. LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Elton got hit in the face with an empty wine bottle, thrown by an enebriated fan. Later, he said, "It was my own fault really. Someone tried to warn me, but I ignored it: 'Duck!' they yelled" Ultimately, he continued performing like a champ and it didn't stop him from turning out a memorable rendition of "Your Song".
I've always enjoyed Reggie's songs & I hope you do too! Subscribe, Like and Comment for those fabulous BeeMee Buzz points!😍

Bit out of practice & short on lung capacity thanks to a round with bronchitis but the show must go on ha ha ha. Released in 2003, this song was very popular. It ranked #22 on the Billboard Hot 100, Toby Keith's highest ranking song at the time & it peaked at #1 on Billboard Hot Country charts for six weeks. It was Toby Keith's 11th #1 single, Willie Nelson's 23rd and was certified platinum. Being the 80th anniversary of D-Day, I dedicate this song to all those around the world, throughout human history that have fought for freedom, justice & democracy. Now the "Latin" category kind of makes sense. War is a Latin Rock crossover band that fuses funk, soul, rhythm & blues, rock, jazz and other genres while the influence of Latin music is evident in the percussive beats and the use of horns. Released in 1975 it reached #1 on The Billboard R&B Singles chart, #1 on the US Hot Soul Singles, #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, was inducted in to the Grammy Hall of Fame and was the theme song for the TV series "George Lopez". Nu metal band, Korn did a cover in 1996. I could go on but who would have guessed such a simple song would be such a massive hit. Heard the Nickelback cover during one of the playoff hockey games and was glad it was in the song library. So this is an Elton John/Nickelback hybrid lol. Elton John released this song in 1973 & Nickelback released their cover (with Dimebag Darell & Kidd Rock) in 2003. Elton Jon & Nickelback have both had unbelievable careers so check them out if you want more info. The song just abruptly ends for some reason. Love Will Keep Us Together" is a song written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield. It was first recorded by Sedaka in 1973. The brother-sister duo Mac and Katie Kissoon also recorded a version in 1973. American pop duo Captain & Tennille covered it in 1975, with instrumental backing almost entirely by “Captain” Daryl Dragon, with the exception of drums played by Hal Blaine; their version became a worldwide hit.
