Thought I would step out of the eighties for awhile and go all the way to 2000. "All the Small Things" was Blink 182's ⁣biggest mainstream hit, peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Originally done by the Kinks here is Van Halen's cover version which was released in 1978 and peaked at 36th on the Billboard Hot 100. Definitely one of my favorite bands in the eighties. XRPcop issued a challenge on Discord so I took the bait and now I get to challenge someone to sing a song that I choose. All in good fun though. Cool way to get people engaged. This song by, Robert Palmer (RIP), debuted in 1979 and was a big hit throughout the eighties. It reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as reaching the top 10 on several other international charts. Who doesn't remember the female backup singers all dressed in black with pulled back hair in the video for another of his hits, Simply Irresistble, which was constantly played on MTV and Much Music. Good lord. Is every band in the Billboard top 100? I knew CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival for you youngin's) were legendary in their time. They were also pioneers of "Swamp Rock" and "County Rock". Didn't expect that they would have hit as high as #3 and that the flip side of the single, "Fortunate Son", hit #14 so I'm going to HAVE to put them in the top 100 category. This song was also in the top 10 on charts all over the world. This song came out in late 1969 and they do play great music! Help grow the Bee Mee community.
