Glory to God! What a beautiful name it is!

The cover photo is a picture I took while visiting the botanical gardens with my husband. Isn't it beautiful?

Released in 1997 this certified platinum song was on Smash Mouth's first album and was their first #1 hit. It was based on the Rodney King incident. It reached #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, #2 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and was on top 10 charts around the globe. Music & Media described it as a fuses "punk" and "ska" (not sure what ska is lol). It is also described as "psychedeliic soul" song. To me, it's just a great song lol. The song is believed to originate when women working in fields used to take their babies along to work and tie their cradles to the branches of the trees so that the wind could rock them to sleep.
