Quick Birthday Shoutout
One of the all time great tunes from Elton John. Definitely outside of my typical vocal range, but it was fun giving it a shot! There's not much better than the scene from the movie "Almost Famous" where the band, along with Penny Lane and the kid journalist, sing this tune on the bus! Good times!
One of the great Waylon Jennings songs, and it's awesome that Willie Nelson makes an appearance on this one too.
Releassed in 1990 by EDM group EMF, The 30th best selling song in the UK, it reached #1 on Billboard 100 & Cash Top 100. Heard the Nickelback cover during one of the playoff hockey games and was glad it was in the song library. So this is an Elton John/Nickelback hybrid lol. Elton John released this song in 1973 & Nickelback released their cover (with Dimebag Darell & Kidd Rock) in 2003. Elton Jon & Nickelback have both had unbelievable careers so check them out if you want more info. The song just abruptly ends for some reason. Haven't sang a slower song for awhile so here it is. Released in 2006, singer Chad Kroeger said it is the only love song Nickelback has. Others are "about love" but not solely about being in love.It was their 4th song on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #8. Being that I was a Wildland Firefighter, the video pulls at my heart strings as it's about a forest fire fighter being called out to a fire. I loved that job! This song ranked high on charts around the world. Like, comment & subscribe for your Buzz Points. Released by Canadian singer, Shawn Menedes, for pre-sale on Itunes in March 2015, it was quickly released for radio play in May. It reached #1 on Mainstream Top 40 and became his first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 reaching #4 & #10 on the Canadian Hot 100. It was also in the top 10 on 35+ charts globally. This song makes me think of my husband. He has taught me about unconditional love and I am blessed to have him in my life.
Love Will Keep Us Together" is a song written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield. It was first recorded by Sedaka in 1973. The brother-sister duo Mac and Katie Kissoon also recorded a version in 1973. American pop duo Captain & Tennille covered it in 1975, with instrumental backing almost entirely by “Captain” Daryl Dragon, with the exception of drums played by Hal Blaine; their version became a worldwide hit.
