"What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrongand released in 1967 as a single. In April 1968, it topped the pop chart in the United Kingdom,[3] but performed poorly in the United States because Larry Newton, the president of ABC Records, disliked the song and refused to promote it.

Heard the Nickelback cover during one of the playoff hockey games and was glad it was in the song library. So this is an Elton John/Nickelback hybrid lol. Elton John released this song in 1973 & Nickelback released their cover (with Dimebag Darell & Kidd Rock) in 2003. Haven't sang a slower song for awhile so here it is. Released in 2006, singer Chad Kroeger said it is the only love song Nickelback has. Others are "about love" but not solely about being in love.It was their 4th song on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #8. Being that I was a Wildland Firefighter, the video pulls at my heart strings as it's about a forest fire fighter being called out to a fire. I loved that job!
