First, Happy Birthday to Harry Styles and second a big shout out to Cara for creating that music schedule for this month. What a great way to torture us....err, I mean expose us to new music and to encourage us to push our singing skills. I have never heard of Harry or listened to this song before and can definitely not sing like him. I picked this song because after a decade of being a forest fire fighter, I have, could and would "walk through fire". Listen and you will understand lol. Here is another fun Classic Rock-Folk song by Jim Croce (RIP) so take a trip back to 8-track days and sing along. This song was released in 1973 which spent 2 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was ranked the #2 song of the year. Jim had a lot of great songs but this was his only #1 single and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. So, we were challenged to have a little contest to sing Proud Mary before Thursday's AMA. We had a choice of doing the CCR or Ike & Tina Turner version. Well, for me, I considered a third version......the Skee Version. Did this for fun so have fun as I could only do one take and destroyed my vocal chords so no re-do's. For a simple song I had a tough time adjusting things so that you could hear the background comments. I also have never had to adjust the sync this much so my apologies if the vocals are too loud. I guess in a 10,000 song library you are going to find a few that pose some challenges. News broke this morning of the passing of a young member of our community. I knew him well and it has stirred up many emotions for me. I dedicate this somg to him, to another old friend Dave D. and to my father. Folks always remember to say "I love you" as often as possible. You just never know when the last time you say it might be the last time you were able to.

Move over Weird Al Yankovic there's a new sheriff in town!
