Policy and Enforcement Overview

 

At Bee Mee, we support a healthy digital advertising ecosystem that is trustworthy and transparent. This ecosystem needs to work for the advertisers, publishers and users of the system.

 

We want to foster a safe and positive experience for our users and we require our advertisers to abide by these policies and all applicable laws. Our advertising policies cover 4 broad areas:

The following policies are written in a clear and easy to understand manner and violation of these policies will not be tolerated. Ads that don’t follow these policies will be disapproved and will not be able to run until the add is fixed and resubmitted for approval. Advertisers and accounts may be suspended at the sole discretion of Bee Mee if we find violations to any of our policies. Serious violations will be subject to immediate suspension without warning. For other, less serious violation, Bee Mee we will provide communications outlining the nature of the violation and the remedial actions that can be taken in order to comply with the policies, however we reserve the right to suspend any advertiser or account as they see fit.

Bee Mee reserves the right to permanently suspend any account, at its sole discretion. Such action will be taken in the event of repeated violations. Advertisers have a responsibility not to promote content or engage in behavior that risks harm to our users, employees, or the Ads ecosystem. If we see such content or behavior, we may take action, including but not limited to restricting or blocking your ads or suspending your account.

Prohibited Content

This is content you are not permitted to advertise on Bee Mee and consists of the following:

Counterfeit or Fake Goods

Bee Mee does not permit the sale or promotion for sale of counterfeit or fake goods of any kind. Counterfeit or fake goods may contain a trademark or logo that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from the real trademark of other goods and legally belong to another entity. These fake items mimic the brand features of a product in an attempt make users believe it is the genuine product. This policy applies to not only the content of your ad, but also to your website or app.

Dangerous products or services

Bee Mee does not permit the sale or promotion of products or services that cause damage, harm or injury to the purchaser or anyone else, which includes products designed to enable dishonest behavior. Some examples of dangerous content include but is not limited to: Recreational drugs (chemical or herbal); psychoactive substances; equipment to facilitate drug use; weapons, ammunition, explosive materials and fireworks; instructions for making explosives or other harmful products; tobacco products. Some examples of products or services that enable dishonest behaviour include but is not limited to: Hacking software or instructions; services designed to artificially inflate ad or website traffic; fake documents; academic cheating services.

Inappropriate content

At Bee Mee, we place a high value on respect for everyone and we don’t permit advertising or links to destinations that display inappropriate content that in any way, promotes hatred, intolerance, discrimination or violence. Some examples of content that is offensive or inappropriate include, but is not limited to: murder, self-harm, bullying or intimidation of an individual or group, hate group paraphernalia, racial discrimination, graphic crime scene or accident images, cruelty to animals, extortion or blackmail, sale or trade of endangered species, ads using profane language.

Prohibited Practices

Things you can't do if you want to advertise with Bee Mee include, but are not limited to:

Misconduct

Bee Mee does not allow advertisers to run ads, content, or destinations that attempt to trick or circumvent our ad review processes. Examples of misconduct include, but is not limited to: promoting "bridge" or "gateway" destinations that are solely designed to send users elsewhere; "cloaking" or using other techniques to hide the true destination that users are directed to; promoting content that contains malware; "arbitrage" or promoting destinations for the sole or primary purpose of showing ads; advertising with the sole or primary intent of gaining public social network endorsements from the user; "gaming" or manipulating settings in an attempt to circumvent our policy review systems.

Data collection and use

The personal information of users be respected and handled with appropriate care. Any advertiser using the Bee Mee system may not misuse this information, nor collect it for unclear purposes or without appropriate disclosures or security measures.

If you are using personalized advertising, including remarketing and custom audiences you are subject to additional policies. Personalized advertising employs online user data to target users with more relevant advertising content and the information used must be handled in an appropriate manner. Examples of this information includes, but is not limited to, names, email address, mailing addresses, phone numbers, national identity information, pension information, social security information, tax identification, health care information, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, date of birth, mother’s maiden name, financial status, political affiliations, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity and religion. Misrepresentation

We require all ads to be clear and honest in regards to the message or product it is promoting and provide the information necessary for a user or consumer to make an informed decision. We do not allow ads or destinations that deceive users or exclude relevant information about the products, services or businesses.

Some examples of misrepresentation include, but is not limited to: omitting or obscuring billing details such as how, what, and when users will be charged; omitting or obscuring charges associated with financial services such as interest rates, fees, and penalties; failing to display tax or licence numbers, contact information, or physical address where relevant; making offers that aren't actually available; making misleading or unrealistic claims regarding weight loss or financial gain; collecting donations under false pretenses; "phishing" or falsely purporting to be a reputable company in order to get users to part with valuable personal or financial information.

Constraints on Certain Types of Content

Some content will be subject to regulations and constraints at the sole discretion of Bee Mee. Content that falls under regulations and constraints will only be allowed limited promotion. This is content that Bee Mee considers to be sensitive in nature, either legally or culturally and display of these ads will not be permitted where Bee Mee, in its sole discretion, believes they may be considered inappropriate in any way. Bee Mee may also require advertisers submitting such content to meet additional requirements before their ads may be eligible to run.

If an ad has constraints on the content, it will be limited in regards to where the ad may be placed and who will be able to view it. Limitations on any given ad are at the sole discretion of Bee Mee and approval of use and ad availability will be done on a case by case basis.

Default Ads Treatment

Bee Mee will limit serving certain types of ad categories for users that aren't signed in or users that our systems indicate are under 18.

Sexual content

Ads need to respect the preferences or our users and comply with all legal regulations, so we don't allow certain kinds of sexual content in ads and destinations. Some kinds of sexual content in ads and destinations will not be accepted at the sole discretion of Bee Mee. These are ads that we feel, in our sole discretion, don’t generally comply with our policies or that target minors. Ads that are accepted but have constraints on the information or imagery they display will only show in limited scenarios based on user search queries, user age, and local laws where the ad is being served.

Some examples of restricted sexual content includes but is not limited to: Visible genitalia and female breasts, hook-up dating, sex toys, strip clubs, sexually suggestive live chat, and models in sexualized poses.

Alcohol

Bee Mee will abide by local alcohol laws and industry standards, so we don’t allow certain kinds of alcohol-related advertising, both for alcohol and drinks that resemble alcohol. Some types of alcohol-related ads are allowed if they do not target minors, and target only countries that are explicitly allowed to show alcohol ads.

Some examples of restricted alcoholic beverages include, but is not limited to: beer, wine, sake, spirits or hard alcohol, Champagne, fortified wine, non-alcoholic beer, non-alcoholic wine, and non-alcoholic distilled spirits.

Copyrights

Bee Mee abides by local copyright laws and protect the rights of copyright holders, so we don’t allow ads that are unauthorized to use copyrighted content. If you see unauthorized content, contact us.

Gambling and games

Bee Mee is pleased to support responsible gambling advertising and abide by local gambling laws and industry standards. Gambling-related ads are only allowed if they are approved by Bee Mee in advance. Gambling ads can only be targeted to approved countries, and they must have a landing page that displays information about responsible gambling. Gambling-related ads that target minors will not be accepted under any circumstances. Check local regulations for the areas you want to target.

Some examples of restricted gambling-related content includes but is not limited to: physical casinos; sites where users can bet on poker, bingo, roulette, or sports events; national or private lotteries; sports odds aggregator sites; sites offering bonus codes or promotional offers for gambling sites; online educational materials for casino-based games; sites offering "poker-forfun" games; non-casino-based cash game sites.

Healthcare and medicines

Bee Mee is dedicated to following advertising regulations for healthcare and medicine, so we expect that ads and destinations follow appropriate laws and industry standards. We will review prospective health related advertising on a case by case basis. Check local regulations for the areas you want to target.

Political content

Bee Mee supports responsible political advertising and expect all political ads and destinations to comply with local campaign and election laws for any areas they target. This policy includes legally mandated election “silence periods.”

Some examples of political content include but is not limited to: promotion of political parties or candidates, political issue advocacy.

Financial services

We want users to have adequate information to make informed financial decisions. Our policies are designed to give users information to weigh the costs associated with financial products and services, and to protect users from harmful or deceitful practices. For the purposes of this policy, we consider financial products and services to be those related to the management or investment of money and cryptocurrencies, including personalized advice.

When promoting financial products and services, you must comply with state and local regulations for any location that your ads target — for example, include specific disclosures required by local law. Advertisers are expected to do their own research on the local regulations for any location their ads target.

Legal requirements

The advertiser is always responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, in addition to Bee Mee’s advertising policies, for all of the locations where your ads are showing.

Other restricted businesses

Bee Mee restricts certain kinds of businesses from advertising to prevent users from being exploited, even if individual businesses appear to comply with our other policies. Based on our own continuous reviews, and feedback from users, regulators, and consumer protection authorities, Bee Mee will occasionally identify products or services that are prone to abuse. If we feel that certain kinds of businesses pose an unreasonable risk to user safety or user experience, then we may limit or stop related ads from running.

Requirements made for Kids Content

Advertisers may not run personalized ads on content directed at children under the age of 13. All advertisements directed at children 13 years of age and older will be reviewed for approval on a case by case basis.

Editorial and Technical Quality Standards

Ads delivered on Bee Mee need to be engaging for users without being annoying or difficult to interact with. The following editorial and technical requirements will assist you to keep your ads appealing to users and to help you to get the most out of placing the ads.

Editorial

Bee Mee requires that all ads, assets, and destinations meet high professional and editorial standards. We only allow ads that are clear, professional in appearance, and that lead users to content that is relevant, useful, and easy to interact with. Examples of promotions that don't meet these editorial and professional requirements:
• overly generic ads that contain vague phrases such as "Buy products here"
• gimmicky use of words, numbers, letters, punctuation, or symbols such as FREE, f-r-e-e, and F₹€€!!

Destination requirements

Bee Mee wants consumers to have a good experience when they click on an ad, so ad destinations must offer unique value to users and be functional, useful, and easy to navigate. Examples of promotions that don't meet destination requirements:
• a display URL that does not accurately reflect the URL of the landing page, such as "google.com" taking users to "gmail.com"
• sites or apps that are under construction, parked domains, or are just not working
• sites that are not viewable in commonly used browsers
• sites that have disabled the browser's back button

Ad format requirements
